  • DIY - Paddock stand for Impulse & other bikes.

    Hello xBhpians,

I have been searching thru each every forum on web to create a paddock stand for Hero Impulse, everywhere I could only see either the ready made stands' images or some rough cut video of how someone is parking their bike on it. I have got a stand fabricated myself, so thought of sharing the details with you guys. I have mentioned the measurements in the 1st picture of stand for better idea.

P.S. I have got stand angled at 15 degrees (30" long and 14" tall, angled at 15 degrees) so it rocks the bike backwards when parked.

    Total expense:

1.25 inch (15MM gauge) pipe x 10 Feet - 130/- (Purchased it on weight from scrap dealer)
    2 wheels with nuts & bolts = 40/-
    Cutting & Welding job = 450/-
    Door handle = 15/-
Black oil paint can = 20/-

Please have a look at following images, hope it helps..... & yes your suggestions/comments are welcome.

Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Give your details here if you want to help your fellow xBhpian stranded in your city

A good DIY....since you have understood the concept and are very motivated, may I suggest your trying fabrication of an ABBA stand ?It will help release the bike's front also, so that you can have any wheel servicing or trouble shooting done for both wheels....

Some bikes like the Duke doesn't have a center stand, can this stand be used to hold the bike to remove the swingarm for servicing?
        I am back!

This stand rests at the end of the swing arm, so you can not remove or work on the swing arm...You can do it only with ABBA stand, which acts like the center stand...

Sweet job! Now if only we could have something portable that we could use on those long highway stints ! Wishful thinking.
