A bit if common sense is all you need.

Honda commuters generally come with a pair of plastic bar end inserts. Get a pair and then drill holes in them, then attach them to the handguard using a sizeable bolt such that the nut locks inside the bar end, now insert bar end on motorcycle and clamp the other side down.

This is how I'd installed them on my CT100B, though instead of the crappy plastic KTM ones I'd gone for metal reinforced ones from Acerbis.

Heyy,

If I imagine what you just suggested me, I can all think of a long handle from the sides which doesn't make any sense. And doing this sort of 'jugaad' will not be usable in future.
From my past experience, I have broken few bar ends from Honda as these are only plastics and can easily be broken when gets in contact with the wall which parking. They cannot support the KTM handle guard and i need something that will look good and is also rigid in the same time.

On its own the Honda bar end cap is crap.

Hence why I mentioned drilling and inserting a metal bolt. The cap just acts as a filler the rest of the load would be on the nut inserted inside the cap.

The KTM ones are plastic they would break before the modified bar ends go for a toss, the Acerbis on mine are metal reinforced and I've had quite a few spills yet they hold to get her well.


This was the cheap way. If you don't mind spending some moolah then get yourself a pair of RTR bar ends, they're insert type but made out of metal rather than the flimsy Honda ones.

Get FZ bar ends. They are plastic, but bolt to secure them. For metal weights, there is RTR handle weight assembly, which can be mounted in hollow handle without provision for weights.
