So my RS 200’s catalytic converter got hit by a not so leveled bridge entrance. It was so hard that a part of the cat which connects the header broke and was into header by leaving 2cms gap in between which made the bike run almost straight pipe.
I had several options running in my mind for 2 months. Whether to get the catalytic converter replaced from Bajaj or else to go with a jugaad but proper option of welding the part which broke away from the catalytic converter.
Considering the cost of the stock, I decided to head out to local garage and get the work done by welding.
The part which was broken. That small cylindrical pipe is a part of catalytic converter which connects to the exhaust outlet side of the header.
The part after welding. The whole process was done by APT Bike point which is located in Kammanahalli, Bengaluru. They took care of everything. It was a save of ₹ 6000. Hope this helps someone with similar issue.
