Exhaust Painting on Yamaha Fazer Fi / Fz

Step 1 : Removing the exhaust from the bike. The exhaust in mounted on the bike by bolts and 2 exhaust port bolts. Remove them all carefully, start by removing the header bolts first.

Step 2 : Prepping the surface - Take a 150 grit Sand paper and invest good amount of time to remove all the rust and old paint. Later user 220 grit or higher to get a better finish on the surface.

Step 3 : Wash the exhaust with waster and shampoo and dry it using a hair drier or heat gun well.

Step 4 : Spray the Hi-temperature Primer evenly over the whole surface. Make sure the hand is always in movement during spraying. DO NOT OVER-SPRAY! In between coats, give 30 mins gap.

Step 5 : Spray the hi-temperature Matt Black paint in the same process after at least 2 hours of drying time of the Primer. In between coats, give 30 mins gap. O NOT OVER-SPRAY!

Step 6 : fix back everything in the reverse order.

Follow the below video for in-depth understanding. All the links of the paint and spray will be in the description of the video.

All the paint details are in the video's description. I have used Rust-Oleum hi heat primer and Matt black paint.
