I was thinking of this has to be done the old school way of de-solder and solder back with different color LED's!

I've bunch of polarizer and diffuser sheets lying at home from my broken 14" laptop screen(a laptop screen has around 1-2 of them based on panel type and vendor).
I will give it a try once I make up my mind on doing this DIY.

Slow and steady does it, i must say its painful to wait. Fired her up, the engine sounds beautiful.

Post running for a few spirited 20kms, engine oil is leaking from the weep hole on the left side.
Not much documentation is available for the weep hole.

Also the coolant reservoir has emptied. There is no visual leak of the coolant anywhere, im guessing its mixing with the engine oil but not apparently visible in the glass.

Guessing the water seal is gone, hence opened and found the seal dry.

Need to get the part and replace.

          Re: 2014 Duke "Flame" Rebuild

So i did a run early morning at 6am today three digit speeds for 25kms. The results were pretty much satisfactory. The coolant level stayed on between min and max, no leak there post the water pump seal replacement. Btw i got the part from a local shop, ns 200 is an exact fit.

Engine oil a very slight wet around the spark plug weep hole.

Need to clean out the residue oil from the spark plug.

Looks like this resolved, but need a longer run to make the results permanent.

After some more runs, Saw some residual oil from the spark plug weep hole, hence removed the tank, opened up the spark plug, vaccum blowed from top, and out through the weep hole came out the remaining oil.

Cleaned the spark plug, clearance checked and to spec 0.8mm, installed everything back.

Did a run again. This time the engine oil also topped a little on the higher side to test and check if it forces out again.

ALL GOOD!! She is all good now.

Duke 390 has a weep hole ? Can you share more details ? I always thought the duke 390 doesn't have one. Never seen or noticed one either.

                Sorry had been busy...
Yes it sure does. Located on the side where the exhaust pipe goes. Theres a pic above.. I will try to get the video its somewhere.

No leaks post the blow out with vaccum.. looks like it was residual with extra oil that seeped out.

                  Re: 2014 Duke "Flame" Rebuild

I have been getting some abs issues.. lights were coming on and off..

Checked and found its a costly affair to replace.

I did check the connections, re bled the entire front and back. Reseated all the connections. Did a ecu reset (15m idle without stand and touching anything.

Nothing worked. It would still go on and off whenever it decides.

I decided to open up and investigate.
There was a lot of magnetic dust inside the pump. The pump is held by 2 inverted torx. Cleaned it all up. Then checked the brushes, one was way shorter than the other. Went to a local drilling machine shop and got the carbon brushes which was for a drill. I cut down and used 180 grid paper and sanded it down. Cut off the shorter one crimped it to the existing wiring as i was not able to open the side opposite to the pump.

Fixed her up. Abs light currently is off and the unit is working. Will have to wait and post updates if this works. Hopefully it does.

20k ish saved if this worked.
