I own a Suzuki GS150 R which has been discontinued by Suzuki. I haven't used my bike for last 1.5 year, because I was not able to find its front sprocket and the old one has many broken teeth. Now after contacting many service centres, finally found the front sprocket and had it installed. Now I thought to rejuvenate my bike. Its self start is not working. Gear display is not working and many problems. I will update this thread with pictures as much as work I will do on it.

. Am looking forward for your report/experiences/photos! Is the refurbishing in-process or over? Many parts can be swapped with other brands.

Re: Suzuki GS 150 refurbishing
I have recently repair the wiring of the bike by using the wiring diagram and self start has been started working. I used extra wire 0.75 sq mm and heat shrink tubes. For gear display i have made some efforts on meter console of the bike by making some track which were damaged in an accident.

Re: Suzuki GS 150 refurbishing
Facing a problem of starting the bike sometimes, specially in the morning and sometimes at the stop light when i turned off the engine, had to use the choke. So decided to clean the carburettor. But still facing the issue. It started when i cleaned the spark plug of the bike.
Any suggestions/ recommendations ?

Have you adjusted the AFR and idle rpm?Originally posted by HelloKD View PostFacing a problem of starting the bike sometimes, specially in the morning and sometimes at the stop light when i turned off the engine, had to use the choke. Re: Suzuki GS 150 refurbishing
Are you cranking the bike by applying some throttle. Try starting the bike without any throttle inputs. Also make the idle AFR a little more rich and see what happens.Originally posted by HelloKD View PostI have adjusted both but the problem remains same. Once i start the bike with choke, after turning off choke, it works fine.
I tightened the screw fully and then unwound it for 4 rounds. And for idle throttle, i adjusted rpm accordingly.
