  • Welcome : India Bike Week 2013

India is a big country, with many people indeed. With many languages and certainly varied interests and passions. However since a decade xBhp has focused on a single passion – lifestyle motorcycling.

Fueled by our passion and commitment to create the first generation of motorcyclists who travel far and wide at the drop of a hat, or helmet, we were elated to see an event like India Bike Week being conceived and bought to fruition.

India Bike Week is not just a big biker party, with events like live boxing, biker build offs, music concerts and the general camaraderie expected out of motorcyclists from around India, this is definitely going to help the bigger cause of creating an entire motorcycling generation in India, actually the first one.

We are happy to see what started off with xBhp ten years ago is bow being taken up seriously by companies and individuals alike. Because we will need all the help we can so that our children can ride nice and easy without worrying where to get the next spare part from, or for that matter park their beloved bikes outside before they are allowed in a five star hotel.

It is all about the bigger picture and hence xBhp has joined hands with India Bike Week, the first one ever, as the Official Community Partner.

You can read more about it at ibw.xBhp.com and even stand a chance to win an all expenses paid entry to India Bike Week!

Ride Safe, Ride Long, for the greater trip called life.
Until 2nd Feb, we meet in Goa!

                  Hi,
Can somebody explain, the below terms & conditions regarding venue: "Venue" or "Festival Area" means the venue(s) within the TBC where the Event takes place or such other venue(s) as the Organiser(s) may decide in which the event may take place from February 1 to February 3, 2013.
ENTRY POLICY FOR BIKES IN THE FESTIVAL AREA:
                  1. Only approved motorcycle brands (owing to participation & sponsorship) are allowed to enter the Festival Area.
                  3. The Entry and Exit is applicable on a first come first serve basis for these limited brands and will be permitted only following the regular registration process by all riders.
                  4. Participants of the approved brands will be intimated about their eligibility to enter the Venue by the Organiser(s).
                  6. Bike handle bands / stickers will be provided if your bike brand is eligible to enter the Festival Area.
                  11. Organiser(s) reserve the right to allow or reject any rider with his bike regardless of appointed brands as per their discretion.Hi,

There is no mention about these brands. Do not know if there is enough alternate parking for NOT ALLOWED motorcycles & if we have to pay any additional fees for parking somewhere else.
What's the use of paying Rs. 3000 if there is going to be discrimination among the motorcycle brands?

i never cared to go read through the terms and conditions of the event, thanks for sharing man, obviously the organizers have made it pretty clear that they only want bikes of a particular brand to enter the event, needless to say this will be "Harley Davidson" bikes only.....

but then i think what is the point of inviting all the bikers for "Chai and Pakoda" rides in major cities, may be they know that an event consisting of only HD riders will have a very low turnout, so want all the bikers to attend it, and not only attend it but to pay them money as entry fees and then they will not allow the bikes of unapproved brands to enter the festival area. they will probably give a separate area for them to park their bikes, and then inside the festival these other bikers will look at HD's with awe and applaud them and maybe come out of festival wishing to own one some day. not good according to me.....

but then i was wondering ... looking at delhi chai pakoda ride pic (the only one pic on xbhp), where i can see only KTMs, and then i searched and found some more pics on the net, like of hyderabad, in which i can see only RE's, so the event might allow some more bikes apart from HD's but definitely not any lower capacity bikes as some call them commuter bikes.

its surely a good thing .. a biking festival in india.........but not allowing all bikes.....not good.

No, I don't think so; they've separate parking for SBK's, HD & RE. From my understanding, they allow any motorcycles to participate...PROVIDED, you pay Rs 3000 to enter into the arena.

                        Hi Aargee,

I'm not sure, if you are correct. Read the T&C which specifically mention approved motorcycle brands. If it is open for all, then why to differentiate? Or may be my understanding is wrong.
Also it is little difficult to reach out them, no direct numbers.

                        Update:
My understanding was wrong, got the reply from IBW as below, :
                        Dear Abhijeet,
We have a parking area for all bikes, our parking team on site will help you with this.

With regard to the parking for bikes at India Bike Week, we wish to inform you that it does not depend on any approved brand. If it is about the Harley-Davidson parking inside the festival, it is because they are the main sponsors. For riders coming from various cities, we do have well-secured Parking areas at the entrance of the festival.
The registration fee for IBW of INR 3,000/- (Three Thousand Rupees Only) is only for the entry into the Festival that includes the 3 main stages with artists like The Gentleman’s Dub Club, DJ Anish Sood, Pentagram and Sky Rabbit to name a few. Great stunt acts by Team Throttlerz from Coimbatore, Team 360 from Mumbai, Team RSA and Team Hrishi from Pune will showcase their stunting talents. The IBW celebration parade, a Vintage Bike Concour, Superbike & Customized bike display Stages, MMA Fight Stage, Open Gym, a non-commercial Bike & Biker Flea Market, Speakers Corner, Big Trip Cinema are all a part of the package.
The ticket includes access to every aspect of the festival, the concerts, races, exhibitions, flea market, vintage display, custom bike display, FCC Fight Club and much more. Only incidental costs like F&B and Purchases made at the flea market, expo and merchandise store have to be paid for on actuals. The rest is included in your ticket cost.

ANSWERS TO QUERIES ON PARKING: There is sufficient parking on site for all registered guests and there will be NO additional parking charge.

Yea the 3k will give you access to everything the shows, concerts and everything else that is happing at India Bike Week.

The whole point of India Bike Week is to get bikers together. Some parking spots have been booked by the manufactures for their customers but there is ample parking and participation from all bikers.
