Just drove home, passing in the other direction I counted 280 HD's, after that I lost count! I think it was close to 300, though I'm not into the cruiser bike thing, it was an impressive sight and sweet sound, like a rolling thunder.

Got a similar feedback from a friend of mine who is at IBW.. he too said that the attendance has been quite low, below his expectations.

Yesterday there were about 400-450 Harley Riders though for the HD event.. but the main event seems to have had low turnout. The organizers were targeting a crowd of 10K intially..!!

^^Ticket prices are a bit steep, if I want to pass by for an hour or two it would cost me 1800 for the pleasure, not even close to vfm for me. Most of the Harley guys and the support van seem to be staying in my neighborhood, seen only a handful of sport/super bikes. I only heard about the event a week back, not sure they advertised it well enough.

I'll say the IBW organizers tried their best to sell the event.

It got media coverage in Auto publications / TV Auto shows / Lifestyle TV Channels.. have promoted on Facebook quite aggressively.. tied up with forms like xBhp (a bit too late though). According to me, they the marketing guys did their best. The challenge would now be to promote the event "post" the event.. as a success, so that there can be a 2014 version too.

But yes, Indians are Value For Money junkies.. and this is probably where they got it a bit wrong. Would love to hear from the guys who attended the event.. they might be having a good time for their money.
