  • [Photo Feature]: Pseudo cruise control

Just came across this little video on how the throttle can be controlled to experience a pseudo cruise control.
    YouTube - Cruize control (v2.0)

Hope this can be extended from RTR to other motorcycles as well.

The increase in performance is directly proportional to the size of the hole in your pocket :D

Looks to me as a DIY job. But, the most neat 'Cruise control' DIY I have ever seen.

Search for CrampBuster on this site and you can order that for 500 odd. Worked good for by CBZ and Bullet. Better than any DIY job I know of.

Can anyone tell if this thing decreases the throttle input during braking. If it doesnt then the speed of impact during accidents is definitely gonna be higher than what it would be in normal circumstances

Does the cars equipped with cruise control work on automatic throttle decrease thingy when the brake depressed?

                      On cars...
                      1. You've 3 buttons; a. Cruise ON/OFF (toggle), b. Cruise+, c. Cruise-
                      2. The cruise control works on speedo meter & not on throttle. Means, once you attain certain speed, say 60mph & press the cruise Button ON/OFF to set the cruise control ON
                      3. When on Cruise ON, pressing Cruise+/- will increase or decrease the speed by a certain amount, say 1mph, 1kmph which are factory preset. However this will alter the cruise speed but will not put the vehicle off from cruise
                      4. Once the brake is pressed, the Cruise control is switched off & control is returned to manual mode
                      5. On pressing the gas pedal, the speed increases until the accelerator is released & then starts decreasing & then finally falls to the speed set on cruise. Note that not all cars have this feature; few of them will stop the cruise control too (like brakes)
                      6. The beauty of the real cruise control (on cars) is, when driving uphill the car increases its capacity automatically to match the 60 mph speed & while getting down hill it may or may not apply the brakes to match the 60 mph speed
