  • Biking in a single line

    Dear all,
I'm a new member to this community although i've been reading the travelogues and other posts for long, and i'm really fascinated by the signatures and one liners that members post here which reflect biking as an attitude, a life style statement, this has led to germination of an idea-
THE GREAT MOTORCYCLE QUOTEBOOK, which i would like to compile with inputs from all the biking enthusiasts present here.

I hope the moderators approve this topic and we can compile all those nuggets of one line wisdom which best describes our passion for Two-wheels

You dont need to be a doctor to love a woman, you dont need to be a mechanic to love bikes.

Talking about those three girlfriends or biking?

Well, even I am an engineer (student of 3rd year) and I have 2 girlfriends, namely, Apache RTR180 and Sony Vaio EB26FG

growing old is necessary growing up is optional....

bikes are to take you from point A to point B and then there are bikes that to take you from point A to point B really fast....

and one more which i found on the net...

the harder i try, the tougher it gets.
my love for my bike is hard to neglect.
they say it is dangerous and give up this crazy life.
i say it may be crazy, but i love my biking life.

...how i wish i could explain what feelings one goes through,
riding in a natural world with only nature to surround you.
so i tell them that bikes are not 'a part of my life',
i am just a biker, and BIKING IS MY LIFE.

The only other affair that my wife tolerates is with my bike.

Thanx guys, keep them quotes rolling in...

And yes i can scour the net for them but a collective effort and contribution can give better results (google also runs on parallel processing)

And i'm sure there must be some really original nuggets of wisdom amongst us xbhpians.

The freedom of a biker can only be understood by looking at the ocean....
Men who still dream of being a pilot or an astronaut are yet to ride a motorcycle.

Why are motorcycle dealers closed on Sundays? Because Sunday is for worship... Catholics go to church, Motorcyclists go to the track.
