I didnt knew such effects.
Appreciate it.
For honking and loud exhaust, there are also traffic rules for it, though sadly nobody cares for it.
Read 2.5.1, 2.5.1, 4.3, 4.4, 4.5 of the following.
Traffic Offences and Penalties in India - Indian Driving Schools.
It also requires mass awareness.
For wind problems, ear plugs can be used.
Thank you for your comments, and the linkOriginally posted by rakshit rana View Postthank you anirban13 for starting such an informative thread.....from the previous tips suggested for reducing air noise i found ear plugs to be most effective & comfortable & ofcourse people must be made aware of these things.....
I am personally a bit concerned about earplug usage during riding as it could affect ability to hear outside sounds...

Buy Bose Acoustic noise cancellation head phones ( Model no. QC-15). lovely. Priced double in India, but I really love it. avaliable abroad for 8.5k and for 17k in india. I use one in my office. Expensive, but its great. u can also plug in any device and listen to quality music.Originally posted by gd76 View PostA very good & an informative article. Ask me about noise pollution, I sit in a place where through out the day I keep hearing noises of trays & plates falling & then there is the staff & the customers too. The plugs mentioned above are the same kind which are used for swimming, infact you get them with straps too, you can find them in any of the Sports stores.

the QC3s have a huge price difference tho...
i paid a lil over 15 grand for them in the States...
and they cost almost 22 grand here.
and as far i using bose headsets while riding... i wouldn't recommend it.
definitely not safe.
for two reasons...
one: it's way to quiet to be safe
two: there's no way in the world you'd be able to wear a helmet with it..

I appreciate that, I agree that maybe I could have come up with something better, but what i wanted to imply by "Lend me your ears" was to listen to what I wanted to say about ear safety.Originally posted by sharingan View Post@anirban13
The thread name could have been better.. I had no idea it was about ear safety.
By the way, the phrase is from Shakespeare's Julius Caesar, Antony's funeral speech for Caesar.
