dude here people try to increase air flow to maximise performance.. here you have added another filter... ???

even if you want sound then remove the stock filter and put in the k&n

also just for the sound you dont need k&n that sound is not coz of the filter that sound is coz the people who does the mod job leave the filter cover open..

Heard a lot about you since i have been part of XbHp. Please help me with one query.

I plan on putting a K&N(RC-1060/1100) inside the stock air filter assembly on my R15v2. I just want it for the sound, not fan of the performance gain. This is what i am thinking. In the stock assembly, i will put a K&N filter in front of the black pipe in the air box, above it will be the stock filter and above that the box. Everything is stock, i have just added K&N to the pipe and have not removed anything.

Will it have any ill effect on the bike ? My ride currently gives me 45-47km/lt.

          TY
you will only get the sound when the hindrances are removed.. if u want sound, u will have to remove the upper most cover of the air filter.. and u cannot fit RC1060 0r 1100 directly without cutting the pipe.. if u want the stock pipe length to stay, will have to add an extra pipe to the pipe inside the airfilter box and attach the KnN to it a little outside..

Re: Stock replacement performance airfilter for R15 and Ninja 250R

So here goes a very noob question. What's are the differences between a stock replacement filter and a universal filter on the basis of filtration, air intake, sound, etc for any particular brand like K&N or simota?
Also, I'm quoting a friend's advice: "Don't go for any change in air filters coz if you do, be guaranteed that your bike will be screwed in a few months' / a year's time". How far is this true?
I'd like to see some owner reviews too.
