First of all, Wish you a good year ahead ! Hope you all had a pleasant New Year's eve
Now, my question/s
As we all might have noticed that during winters white smoke comes out of the exhaust. Now that smoke is definitely different from a smoke coming out of polluting vehicle. This is purely white & just disappear after few seconds.
Why it happens ? Since I have no tech background, am just taking into consideration my 10th standard science education here

Water vapour definitely exists from the exhast system. Perhaps due to cold temperature, it condenses to tiny droplets & we can actually see the smoke. I have even seen water trickling down from the exhaust. This brings to the question,
How does water vapour forms?
Is it due to the fact that since combustion involves Oxygen & Fuel which necessarily has to contain Hydrogen, there is a reaction which happens during combustion which produces water molecules, perhaps.
This bring to my next question that..
Why is it then that some vehicles/bikes emit this vapour & other doesn't? R15 surely emit that P220 Fi / Non fi both doesn't. What does it shows about the quality of combustion ?
may this is very silly but have been very curious
