Dude, why are you trying to remove the engine cowl??? ( i guess so). The engine oil drain bolt is down the engine, near the gear lever. If you ride for a few kilometers to reach a mechanic, nothing will happen. Go to a mechanic and change it.

The sound coming from the disc is due to dust. Every day in the morning when you start riding the bike drive it with slight braking for 5-10 metres the sound will immediately disappear. I had a CBZ which had similar problem.

        yaar

chill maadi, nothing wrong has happened. You have run-in the bike just fine. What you now need is to ride to a mech within 5km of where you are, slowly at min revs. IMHO that should do okay.

Motoman also suggest cleaning/changing the oil filter/sump(which is behind the clutch plates) after the first 30 kms or so. HH guys are supposed to do that at the first service. Dunno feasible is to get that done outside HH with out affecting the warranty.

I think that this thread shoud be merged with Karizma ownership experience, there is no point having a seperate thread like this and besides you will get more suggestions and advice in the ownership thread.

The engine cowl is off now happy to get some useless weight off the bike. Do, observe that it improves the airflow - much better now.

Praveen - i did not get you. You mean to say, open up the side of the engine and get behind the clutch plates? I'll enquire about it before my first service.

                  Dude!

That was salt flats, off the coast of Cambay. Some 20 km in the wilderness not far from the Tarapur power plant

as flat as flat can be.

and no, you are gonna be just fine. Ride like normal till first service. Or change oil at 100 or so again.
