Downshifting in my p180 is supersmooth.....
in fact its the most major tool in my riding skills as i love sudden accelerations....
I have not done anything extra and i dont fill any special oil or petrol it was just smooth from the beginning.

check for proper clutch play, this usually happens when cutch does not engage properly.

rev the engine slightly before shifting down

Shift gears according to speed and they will be super smooth. But if you will downshift at higher speeds without any reason then they will make noise.

Understand ur bike well....downshifting at the right RPM would not have hard gears...also check the clutch plates and cable
