THE ACCELERATION PATTERNUSING THE CLUTCH AND GEARSnever to use half clutch as it ruins the clutch plate.

    C) CHAIN MAINTENANCEAIR PREASSURESERVICE:- service your bike at regular intervals(generally 2 months or 3000kms whichever is sooner). It keeps the bike in good shape and smooth.

A very nice and informative thread A-BLAZE.

        From my side :-

1.) Never ride bike with brake lever pressed. I have seen many of them doing it. I not only gives bad mileage but also shortens engine life.

2.) If bike dont starts in the morning, make sure to keep interval of 5-6 seconds between consecutive thumb press starts or kicks.

3.) In night, if you park your bike outside your home, make sure to close the fuel tap before going in. I have seen some *** stealing petrol in bottles.

4.) Remember to put the choke on the initial position once the bike starts.

Will post more if i will get.

          Very well written mate..

          Perfect information...

Quite helpful to those who want their bikes in tip top condition!

One more add up--- I think everything starts from here

Do not get caught up in your work schedule as you might not get time for the bike and the maintenance part will be neglected....

I meant to say was all the data you mentioned is perfect and upto mark but we as bikers should have time to do all that which we miss out on most occassions...I myself have resisted at times in hurry to wipe the bike(late for office) so it should not happen. Thats all mate...rest whatever my thoughts were you penned it down perfect....

It really is a great thread...the newbies and the pro bikers would find it quite useful. Every single biker knows how to rip a machine but to maintain it to give maximun possible averagfe is an art.

                    Congrats bro.....

                        A small addition .

Do not race or accelerate quickly at first startup. first 3 to 4 kms should be driven slow and gears should be changed at correct RPM. this helps the engine to get proper oil and heat to run smooth in the rest of the journey
Don't research too much while purchasing, else you will commit blunder

My secret tip - If you buy your petrol early-morning or at dawn your fuel mileage shall increase significantly . Now I only need someone to kick me awake then . But jokes apart - try to fill as early as possible in the morning .
