    Which one for Joeling? RTR 180 or R15

    Fellow Bikers,

    I am new to this forum as member but a sincere guest viewer for a long time. I've learned a lot about bike and biking through this forum for which I would like to thank all you guys in this forum.

    To be frank I am in a serious dilemma on Joel'ing (BB & FFE in this case) what? Apache RTR 180 or R15. Kindly throw some light on this.

    I heard that Joel's BB and FFE on a R15 will pump 165cc through the mill and free revving.

    When it comes to RTR, it pumps 192cc out of the mill and same free revving.

    Recently I gave off my 160 RTR for a used R15 for joeling. But after riding RTR I feel R15 is under powered in the lower rpms. I can feel its wonders in 5k+ RPMs. But I feel that a already powerful in initials engine like RTR's would do more wonders than this. Once topped in RTR's with 135kmph on speedo which is pretty decent, and I also dont get much straights in chennai to top whack my steed.

    Please help me take a best decision so that I wont regret later.

        I once asked joel the same thing for a cheap thrill bike... He himself said to get the R15

        PS: If I were you I would choose one on the basis of what I intend to do with the bike!

          What I would suggest is that you go through the threads on the subject as they have extensively documented the subject. Also the best person to help sort out your doubts is Joel, who ultimately is the last word as far as his work and development is concerned.

          Personally, I would say if cost is a secondary concern then the R15 and if cost is going to be a major factor then the RTR may be a better choice. Also note that larger engine capacity does not necessarily mean more power, so don't base your decision merely on cubic capacity.

            Even i have a joel'd RTR. But trust me an R15 (specially a Joel'd R15) is a totally different beast.

              Handling is more important in a souped bike, so close ur eyes and go for the R15 you wont regret.

                Handling is not a big factor here,considering both the bikes handles equally well.
                The Liquid cooling of R15 has the real advantage here.With more power,needs more cooling, So R15 is the better option.
                RTR is cheaper option.

                      Hello Kishore, I would like to suggest to pickup an R15 rather than RTR.

                      R15 Technology is way far then RTR. One day I got a chance to take a small sprint of Joel's R15 and believe me its the BEAST of the BEASTs.

                      Joel would be the best person to ask, I am sure he will suggest R15.

                        There is no question of top speed being asked. In the hands of a good rider both the bikes are very capable. The R15 is a very good bike due to other characteristics (mainly mechanical in nature) than because of the top speed.

                          IMO Performance wise both RTR and R15 are equally capable and top speed, acceleration purely depends on the amount of Joeling you do on it.

                          No to forget, Joeling is more inclined towards R15 than an RTR. visit his website for more info raceconcepts.in

                            Very true. More options to pimp an R-15 than an RTR. 4 valves and Liquid cooling are the main advantages in the R-15.

                              Id suggest R15,simply because,i believe R15 has more goodies from Joel than RTR.
