  • Stellar 0-60 time on a Apache RTR 160... :-)

I guess nobody has ever reported a figure like this .... And as we all know, the top speed recorder is bad and resets back to 160 occasionally, but the 0-60 timer is fairly accurate and error free....

(btw, the maximum limit is 9.9 seconds, so dont expect it to be a "14", sorry for the poor camera )....

People are free to guess how it was done :-)

Lemme take a shot at this, You took your bike to abut 70kph, then you switched off the bike by turning the key to off position so the speedo stopped and then you started the bike back by returning the key to on position so the speedo stater working again. But now it saw more than 60kph and hence the un-usually less time of 0-60.

      AM I right?

It is impossible to clock 0-60kmph in 1.4sec on RTR160 in real world!Images like these are scattered all over on FB.Its the speedo error nothing more. You can clock that speed in 1sec if the speedo wishes too.
        Peace.

What the ****??? 0 to 60 in 1.4 sec!!! I always knew that the Apache had a crappy speed-o-meter (yes, through personal experience), but this seems to take the cake!!! If your bike can do those figures in real world you have the fastest Apache in the WORLD ! Take great joy and satisfaction in that .

Yes Parth... You are dead right!!!

lol. initially i thought this is just another thread for a brilliantly efficient speedo

but a nice way to prove 0-60 in 1.4 seconds.. lol brilliant idea

I know how it can be done, this actually happens on its own every time you rev your bike above the red line while riding (not standstill) the meter will start showing ridiculous readings like 0-60 time of .4 secs or 1.4 etc, and also the topspeed register will show 160kmph top speed.

Guys, try this.... Try a "panic wheelie" ;-)

By that i mean, holding on to the front brakes lightly as the bike goes into a wheel popping motion , actually being ready to cram on the brake if the bike falls, but that makes the front wheele freeze, and speedo remains at zero........ After u redline in 1st, come back 2 ground while shifting 2 second, 60 is not far away ;-)
