i highly doubt the booking amount is 50% as i read they were giving a max. loan of 70% of the bike's ex showroom price.

I too went to Yamaha Saket and the guy assured me that the booking amount is 6.25 lakh for 2010 Yamaha yzf R1

Is it worth all that money for a bike , maybe ......But when i was a little kid(i am still not that much big) i always dreamed about having a SBK and the first bike that would come to my mind would be a R1 and it still does ,
so for ME is it worth all the money ? i would say every penny is worth spending on it.........

all the SBKs are worth every penny if you ask me.
gixxer is definitely worth waiting for, hopefully will be launched at the autoexpo.

The Gixxer most probably will be launched at the expo... So a few more months, and maybe we'll have details of both...

showroom guys never were and never will be a dependable source of info regarding the booking advance until the company press releases a definite launch date!

if u end up paying 6.25 lakhs as an advance right now the guys at the showroom will happily take the sum and dump it in their banks for sheer interest gains !

I think it's better to wait for the auto expo , hope all secret's are revealed

I would recommend the Philips X-treme power bulbs over the Osrams. I have installed the Nightbreakers in an R1 before and the Philips are much better. Honestly, my personal suggestion would be HID's (4300k or 5000k) in the projectors. Its just unbelievable light. My friends bike has HID's in all four headlights!

Hey bladerunner, can you please tell me where I can get the philips automotive bulbs in India ? I am looking for one XP Moto in particular....

Hai rossiter, I need a help from you, can you find out whats the ex showroom and on road prices for Yamaha R1 and R15?, I have searched the whole internet and also browsed the Yamaha India website, but couldn't find the price of both the bikes. I had visited the website 2 month ago and there was no information about the prices, its really important for me to have this information, please help me.

I haven't bought them in India so far but you might need to look up a Philips dealer or look around in an area that has a lot of car accessories dealer in Kolkata. You can order it from abroad but it will take 2 weeks.

I know its available in Bombay and people have bought it here (the X-treme Power).

The XP moto is new so you'll not get it here for sure. You can get it from Ebay.

I heard the R1 booking are on and so are the Gixxer 1000.

What else are you planning to buy from the UK? Its high time you pimped up the Blade a bit. At least an exhaust.

That was the only link I also found from where I can actually buy that bulb.
UK is expensive than rest of the world, so I do not have any plans for any bike stuff. Also, we have decided to keep the blade stock
All mods will be done on a soon coming new member of our stable
