While discussing the newly launched Suzuki GSXR1000 and subsequent information gathering over the internet, I came across a MCN article which mentioned the peak power output of the GSXR1000 is 161 bhp. This was pretty surprising to me as I found it was way behind the 181 bhp genere of the R1 and the Fireblade.
Further in the I came to know through discussions that it's actually peak power output of the GSXR1000 at rear wheel and not at crank.
So, just for my understanding, wanted to know if the 181 bhp of the R1s and the Fireblades is the power at crank, then how come the parasitic loss of power through the transmission is a massive 20bhp?? Is it normal??
