Is this safe method to troubleshoot starting problem

    Hi @ROCKRZ...I think I saw your bike at Prathibha service centre couples of months back,if I am not wrong.

    So from this we can say the HH 149CC Engines have flaws and not tested properly in designing phase.

      I got back my bike..no more engine sound.now I am satisfied.But in idle the rpm is 2.5k which i wil adust to 1.2-1.3k later.
      Can anyone suggest what should be the idle RPM ?

        Hi guys,
        having a strange problem from past few days, My bike is stalling if throttle is not given.
        IDLE RPM decreases slowly by itself and engine stalls after 15-20 sec even on main stand.
        and over that today morning it didnt start for an hour. When i gave self starts it went on giving clik-clik sond,engine refused to start at all.Finally a nearby frnd started by twisting throttle a lot.
        IDLE RPM is set to 1.5K when HOT,Airfilter also checked.
        Went to a local mechanic,he said TAPPETS are loosed and needs to be tightened,is this the cause of the problem??

        m very restless guys, help me out!!

          I think best visit a HH authorized service centre and let them check as your bike is new.
          I just completed my 6th Servicing and look they did it ok.

            the problem with your bike is the air screw setting. get it adjusted, the prolem should disappear.
            i had faced this problem when the bike was sent for second service. somehow they messed up the setting. but the moment i complained, the mech came over, reset the carb screw and the bike did not give that problem.

            edit: hw many kilometers has your bike done since the last airfilter change? if your airfilter has done over 20000 kms, change it and then ask for the carb re-setting :P

              i m already running a little rich on my bike.

              edit: hw many kilometers has your bike done since the last airfilter change?
              odo reading : 2800 Km,
              Not a single airfilter change so far
              i guess theres something that is blocking either air/fuel supply to the engine. i have cleaned the Airfilter yesterday though.can there be sludge inside carb?? (least expected IMO). i tried changinf IDLE RPM to even 3000 but still RPM slows down nad finally engine stalls

                If tappets are loose, the you'd be able to easily start you'r bike. You'll also feel increased performance, though the ride will be abit noisy.
                The current prob's related to the AFR setting.

                        I feel that the filter in the petrol tap may be clogged..it is the small nut like structure under the petrol tap.This is actually the bowl which collects the debris in petrol .There is a filter in the underside of the tap, remove and see if it had collected dust blocking free flow of petrol...


                        Take a look inside the Petrol Tank with a Torch and see if brown colored dust is there at the bottom of tank...if it is you need to clean the tank.

                          Hello I have got new problem with my hunk. Yesterday I change the handle grip,Since then When I am releasing the accelerator to slow down the bike continues to move on the same speed,I do not feel the engine braking.The mechanic said he does not did anything expect changing the grip.Even in first gear there is no jerk when I am releasing the aeelerator the bike is moving freely.Its kind of scary,I dash into another bike because of this.

                          Can anyone let me know where could be the problem.
