  • silencer sound change

i own pulsar150(UG4.5) 9k done on the Odo
i just wanna know that why does the exhaust of P150 sounds flatted after 10,000k.m.s old or so(only for newer models??)
and I've tried a technique of spraying water into the silencer and then starting the bike so that the bike throws out the water in the silencer
(i never do this when the bike is hot)i usually do in mornings and after that i head to college or a small ride so that the remaining water in the silencer is dried up due to heating of the silencer.
also i never do this at night so that the remaining water results in rusting of the silencer.
i've just been doing this once in a month and miraculously the sound stills feels like that of a new bike.
i just want to know what is the harm??
please guys correct me if i'm wrong
