Stealing parts in bike

I have a doubt and dream that Pulsar service men are robbers as they replaced my new pulsar 180 ug4 parts with some old parts like battery or carburattor. My bike is fine since 1 year but since last month service my bike sound above 45 km/hr in 5 gear is not smooth. I showed my bike on the same day of the last service but they say it is normal. Again after 1 week I went to the pulsar service and took them above 45km/hr in 5 gear but still they lie saying it is fine.

I can describe the sound exactly. The sound is like if you are riding in 2nd gear the bike is smooth till 22km/hr and if you further accelerate keeping in same 2nd gear you hear uneven sound. This is the same sound that i hear in 5 gear above 45km/hr. They also kept some battery pipe hanging at the side that leakes water that I never seen before. They said they have recharged the battery.

I am afraid to give it to service as they may steal or replace removable parts like battery, carburattor, petrol if they want. One day I gave my bike for service with engine oil replacement. The next day I saw the engine oil colour from the side circle window as well as opended the lid to check it with a stick which is not red but it is dirty black oil which means they have not replaced but took my money and top of that they stole my petrol. Since then I am replacing engine oil myself.

Better remove the battery from bike , & after the rest when you gonna use bike again check battery voltage , if it is around 11/12 volt then put it back & start bike . I think something similar would be mentioned in owner manual , do check it .

i can't say exactly how much 'juice' will be left as i dont know its condition.
But if the battery is new (less than 10-12 months) then, generally speaking there should be no problem.
I myself started my bike after some 20 days and there was lots of power left. I cranked my bike for some 15mins (because of frozen ring or tappets) and felt battery going weak only after this kinda abuse.
Btw, you can push start in emergencies (have done that too)

Question about battery...

Hi friends..

I have a question in my mind regarding my HH hunk 2011 battery, it is maintenance free Exide battery, i gonna stand my for almost about 1 month, after the 1 month as this is kick less bike i will need the power in the battery to start my bike,as i m riding it on daily basis and battery gets charged automatically so after a month will i get some left power in my battery to start my bike and how much days it keeps the power...???

I think your passion is either overloaded or back to square.(because of led). Anyways, it made me think about extracting more life outta battery.

Nothing special , instead have ton of load's ( pair of windtones + pair of vibrasonic + pair of rainbow lights + led's at back side ) But i thinks its like efficient use helping improvement in battery life .

Yes dead because of deep discharge as i forgot to turn off key & rainbow light remained on , got it noticed after 2 days that key is in passion & battery got completely empty .

any special maintainance or modd on your passion?
Plz, tell us about the "jugaad" you did to regain the life from your deep discharged battery.. Was it dead because of deep discharge?

Its simple you need a pure dc 12/13 volt 3/4 amp power supply .get a 12-0-12 x'mer with 3 amp , 2 diodes ( mostly 1N4007 ) & one capacitor , for the diode & capacitor value just tell the electronic shop guys you were building a 12 v dc power supply , they will give you correct components . I used the old cassette player , which has 12 supply pins at backside , if you connect battery to it & turn on its mains power supply it works as charger . In around 2 hours battery is good enough .

Was thinking to make a smart battery charger which can moniter battery voltage & cut off charging when battery is full , & show it with seven segment displays . Will soon start designing when get sufficient time .

On my hero honda passion stock exide battery lasted for 3 years , & then the maintenance free delhi made battery is still good its been 5 years & 6 month old , just removed it in last moth & putted a 5 amp battery for dc conversion . Got it deepely discharged 2 times but then the jugaad helped to give her life again .

Is rx had 6 volt batteries

My bike is converted to 12v. So, I think the previous owner might have changed the battery box to the plastic ones as the 12v battery doesn't fit in the old box. Does the earlier RXs come with a smaller compartment for 6 v battery which is made of metal?

No, its for everyone. may not apply to those who use their bikes for highway trips everyday.
the winter thing is said because all batteries relies on chemical reaction to produce electricity & rate of chemical changes go down with temperature. thats why most batteries die in winter

Is this for the people who do not use their bikes in winters?

Re-charging..
According to my experience, getting batteries charged every year before winter hits will also help enhance battery life & health. And as earlier said dont let your batteries deep discharged.
Following my annual charging routine i've managed to extract more than 3yrs of life from lead acid batteries.
And amaron car battery lasted little less than 5yrs.

I have seen the SVC guys removing the side panels and the seat and washing the bike, is that going to affect the battery?
