Check out this picture of a concept FZ1 made by FIAT's sport division - Abarth.
The bike was put together to mark the 100th birthday of the Italian company's founder Karl Abarth.
Based on an FZ1, the 150bhp belching bike isn't all that unique because it has loads of widely-available bolt-on-bits like race suspension, an Akropovic exhaust system and better brakes. But there is some talk that the grunty, more mid-range changes made to the motor might find their way onto a limited-edition, top-end-of-the-market special produced in conjunction with the FIAT company.Yamaha's involvement with Abarth takes the form of a "naked" FZ1 Abarth Assetto Corso bike with 150hp, very light with generous use of aluminium, titanium and carbon fiber components. It features monobloc brake callipers, daisy discs and a very adjustable suspension system. Abarth livery adds to the sporting mystique of this new collaboration.Yamaha Italy has presented the FZ1 within a special exhibit dedicated to Karl Abarth and the bike stands out due to the Ohlins suspensions package, Marchesini rims and sleek tires, Brembo brakes, Akrapovic titan exhaust system as well as the multitude of Rizoma pieces. Also, the Red and White color scheme and Abarth style graphics enhance the performance look of this naked, leaving us wondering if it is ever going to be produced in a limited edition as the bike in the pictures is only a prototype.
