What I meant to say was that a while back I had done a DIY on valve clearance setting. And at first ignoring the TDC when the exhaust rocker arm went completely down, I tightened the adjuster nut to its max position and locked it in place with the lock nut, and also tightened the intake without leaving any free play and locked it with the locknut, now as expected the bike did'nt start, it just kept cranking, so wanted to know that by doing so, have I by chance done some permanent damage which would have affected the autodecompressor on the cam causing my kicker to behave strangely(Shown in the above video.)Originally posted by srpsinu View Post
Yes absolutesly, permanently closed as in the adjustment screw turned clockwise to its tightest position possible and then locked with the lock nut.Originally posted by princesirohi View Post

The bikes ignition is in off position.Originally posted by jd666 View PostI watched the video. That was normal operation. what was missing here??
First kick was a normal one, Second kick slipped midway which resulted in the Third kick to get stuck midway(A scene which is common to an Enfield user in which the kicker gets stuck in between when kicked in a wrong stroke and when extra force is exerted the kicker kicks back.), then the rest of the kicks are OK and the bike starts in the first kick after the ignition is turned on.
The thing with the kicker getting suck in between isn't supposed to happen on a bike which is designed with an auto decompressor, Or so I believe.Motorcycling Experience:
