  • Yoga exercise for motorcyle riders

Good piece of information for better riding postures and stamina. Better read the disclaimer though.

I'm the biggest benefactor of YOGA. A year back i had a severe lower back pain that it forced me to change job and decide on riding bike or not but luckily i was introduced to YOGA by a friend and within 2 months all by backache is gone and im riding since then. Now my spine is much stronger for any kind of stresses biking or adventure throws.

I would request all my brothers here to start doing YOGA asanas which strengthens your spine. Any YOGA instructor would love to help you.

For getting back in shape and staying that way, try the 8 mins workout videos (google them). These are seperate videos for arms (upper body), abs, legs and buns .Daily 16 mins (upper body + abs, legs + abs) and in hardly a week or two, you are seeing a shaped you in the mirror trust me, it has worked very good for me.

And for those of us who just can't reduce the weight what so ever, try the GM diet. Many of my friends did it with spectacular results. Loss of atleast 2-3 kgs in a week, without you getting exhausted in any way. It works on the basis of controlling calories and other intake, but not by starving. The person doing diet is never hungry. If anyone wants it, I have an Indian version of it which can be sent/posted.

Lastly, yoga is really helpful, not just for riding, but also for day to day life. In fact, for exercise, I'd rank swimming first, then Yoga and then gym.

My experience of yoga is, if I do it for a couple of days, later I feel like I shouldn't walk anymore, I should just run! (Haven't run yet, a man running in his formals returning from office may seem odd )

The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

One hour will be an overkill for youngsters. 20 min a day is more than enough. M doing it for past more than 2 years.

It has benefited in my sinusitis problem and backpain.

Here you go buddy! Attaching the Indianized GM diet. I have seen the results from my own eyes on two of my friends (both around 25 years) and one's mother who was 46-48 years old. All of them had great results, reducing atlest 2-3 kgs in a week. All replied they felt great and energetic, and the results linger even after the diet. However, if you continue to stuff the same garbage in, you will again go back to your previous weight.

Make sure you stick to this diet strictly. You may get bored eating the same baked veggies, but bear with it just for one week! All the best!

@Mods: 19.5kb max allowed attachment?!! You gotta be kidding. I lost a couple of miligrams myself trying to fit the diet in less than 19.5kb word file

It helped man! freaking 6.5 KGS in 6 Days....

Damn! The only issue is that this can help kill weight but we need to maintain it well, else the weight will come back

                        Any plans after this?
