True, very well said bro. But the thing is, we may or may not get respect in return, we should keep giving it. I mean defensive riding is the trick no matter how chaotic fellow road users are

All I can say is size matters! respect is directly proportional to size.

Re: Give Respect - Take Respect

On a lighter note, the thread translates to:

"Tum apni izzat do, main tumhaari izzat lunga!"

Ok, on a serious note, this is what xbhp/all other online forums are about. RESPECT the fellow commuter/traveler on road. I commute to office on my cycle 3 days a week (and remaining 3 days by bike). Even the shopkeeper near office used to behave differently seeing a fellow on a cycle. Now he knows me by face. This is our mentality. We can't rant enough on it. Patience is the key here. Let others honk, let them shout. Believe me, pissing people off by staying within legal limits is much more fun than pissing sensible folk by breaking rules and dangerous driving/riding.

So, lets piss people off with our sensible road mannerisms. Peace.

Well, it may seem confusing at first, but I feel the barbaric nature and 'size matters' nature is down to the fact that India is still a developing country. To the people, their possessions and ego is above everything else. This happens because of poverty. This would change when we become a fully developed country
