We weighed the helmet. 1500gms, which is within the range stated on the helmet, which is 1500+/-50gms.

The MT AXXIS helmets have the necessary ECE regulation markings.

1. Chin-strap markings.
2. Laminated markings on rear, with weight label.
3. Embossed markings on visor.

Thank you very much for taking the time to answer queries [MENTION=29015]Sunnyside_up![/MENTION] . I'm sure there will be other questions from the biking community, but thankfully, you're not avoiding them. I doubt people will throw rocks, given the fact that you're a biker yourself and have taken pains to bring in practical products for the biking community.

Allow me to begin with a disclaimer!

What I publish is to the best of my knowledge working with this company. If there are any errors, kindly point them out and I will try to get them resolved. Likewise, if there are any questions to which I dont know the answers to, I will try to find out to the best of my ability. Please refrain from throwing stones, as they hurt!

1. Manufacturas Tomas S.A or MT Helmets as they are known is a Spanish company based in Cartagena, Spain. When I say it is Spanish, I mean owned, managed and operated by Spaniards, and is named after the founder. The company has been in operation since 1968, and is the largest brand in Spain, which is a motocycle crazy country. MT has manufacturing facilities in Spain, China, Taiwan and HongKong and also provides OEM services to many other brands. SPG has been working with MT since August 2012 to bring in suitable helmet models for the Indian market by way of field-testing, market research and strategy. SPG began importing MT Helmets into India in January 2014.

2. So far only one model has been imported and distributed, the AXXIS. Many others are to follow shortly, based on market feedback and demand.

3. The AXXIS model is ECE R.22-05 certified and meets the standard as far as I am aware of. I have personally taken apart quite a few helmets in the process of testing and the standard has always been good. As per SPG norms, we field tested several AXXIS helmets for over a year before we began imports to satisfy ourselves about the quality of the product and its longevity in the Indian market. The same exercise is done for every other product as well to test their suitability.

You can verify the authenticity of the document by going to the website that is printed on the side of the letter - it is a government archive site - and then type in the verification codes printed in bold after that. I apologise for not uploading the entire document but my limited computer knowledge limits me. (This itself was with some assistance) Also available in the SPG office is the entire ECE testing report running into 20+ pages which details all the tests carried out by the lab and the results.

4. AFAIK this model has not been tested by SHARP yet and the company makes no claims about it either, though it has other models that have been tested and rated.
