Helmet is compulsory in my hometown of Mangalore, but it wasn't a while back. One of my uncles died in a crash, they told me if he had worn a helmet, he'd be alive today. Sad!

Helmet is a must-must! I had one experience where I was wearing a helmet but still I broke couple of my teeth, thanks to the motocross-style helmet which is good for nothing. Always go for a branded full-face helmet.

That was a very close one. As already said I won't repeat the importance of helmet. Yes there are time when you might be to ride without helmet but always try to avoid such a situation. And if you ever HAVE TO ride without a helmet then never take chances with the speed. Go slow. It is better late than never.

Anyways, thanks to god that you both are safe and alive.
      Enna Rascalla. Mind it !!!

Never ever start without helmets on bikes, even it is a very short ride Because we never know what type of incidents we meet. Helmets are as important as wearing Shirts and trousers. riding without helmets is like riding naked .

Thank GOD that your friend, your bike and yourself are safe.

          lucky...

Good to know you are safe...Now I am not judging anyone but its Surprising to see that your friend has ten years of riding experience but argues about wearing a helmet.

Anyway, it is great that you saved his skin by making him wear a lid-Kudos!, but please try to wear one even when u are riding pillion..

cant stress enough how important your lid and gear is..time and again makes the difference between being carried on a stretcher(or worse) and walking away from an accident

          Ride safe...
