• Is peoples bike collection complete???

There was a time some 3-4 years ago when, whenever i log in to xbhp 2stroke threads,i can see some updatation in the threads regarding rx series ir rd series or mighty suzukies.
But now a time had came when we cannot see any updatation for long long time.
Is it 2strokes on this forum is loosing its charm,or all the fans have got their bike and no one is here to rebuild any bike.
There was a time when we saw so many rebuilds and learnt so many things from our seniors like Sriram sir, karthik sir, yamdoot sir, bigbore sir, alik sir, nitin girish sir and atul sir and many more.
Now it seems that neither junior nor senior members are intrested in two wheels any more.
These persons are core power of this forum.
I think their collection is complete now or they are busy with their works.I think social media could be a major reason.
Good golden days of 2s.
Sorry ,all senior members if i have written something wrong.

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

THE END

Rxboy: all the seniors you have named are still happy with their two strokes and are still building new ones but have moved to a more enclosed and tighter circle than xbhp. Frankly, when a significant part of a particular forum favors fourstrokes over the dragons because of sheer ignorance and arrogance, it is bound to happen.

Take me for example, I have moved on to my 3rd restoration project now. But I am not going to give the time to upload on xbhp, as I find it pointless.

My relationship with RXs along with a few others came to an abrupt end which is why I am not active in the two-stroke thread.

Maybe sometime in the future, when I have enough time, energy, money, a good technician, adequate parking space and good health I will buy and restore an RX. True to the spirit of the two strokes I once rode-I haven't given up!

No iam not a lawyer neither i defending him but how can one expect rebuild write ups n photos from a senior such as Bibhu when he is called names by juniors and particularly his bikes are targeted and are ridiculed as cottage industry bikes polluting farts and what not. The current generation who ride some European n japanese exotics just Dont understand the charm of a 2 stroke they just want astronomical figures n hideous tech jargons n technobabble..

Respect and appreciation begets response.. while there are some guys like us who regularly surf the 2 stroke section of xbhp most others dont even care and the rest insult the 2 strokes at point blank range.. So naturally the reflex action is to withdraw from posting altogether to avoid a new facade..

Re: Is peoples bike collection complete???

I have been thinking of replying here but hell i was lazy to reply. Ok this is a nice topic, but lets not be paranoid for some groups of people who do not know about two strokes. Take me for example, i do not own a two stroke but i always admire two strokes. Even when i had a talk with Bibhu over phone our talk went onto two strokes and we talked for nearly 50 minutes. I learnt a lot in those 50 minutes about his passion for his bikes. And i am waiting when i will go to cuttack keeping time in hand so i can meet him. You see two strokes may be dead in todays days in minds of youngsters but then there are some crazy like us who likes two strokes. Leave those jokers who do not like the smokes, they have grown in the smokes of cigarrete rather than 2 stroke smokes. My uncle has a Japan model RX100 which i plan to restore and was talking with Bibhu on how to go about it.

SO the basic thing is we shouldn't give up our passion for a bunch of jokers. If there are 1000 of criticizers then there will be 100 of admirers. We must take that 100 admirers view. Well not only two strokes but bikes are getting less especially in BBSR as more and more cars are seen on road. The situation has become like this that in traffic stops i see only cars and rarely two-three bikes. Even in some traffics i will be the only biker. The most notifying thing is that in most of the cars there will be single man, and also in cars where there are two persons and they will be mostly young guys or new couples. So you see most youngsters on getting married or getting a decent salary opt for car as they think car is better and show more status then bike.

So it is not only 2 strokes but bikes which are not looked upon by people with respect. May be i will get a two stroke bike in near future, watch the space on 2 stroke and i will be there soon.

This is certainly a nice topic, i don't know about your state but here in my state there are millions of bike riders on the road, they ride in zig-zag manner, will climb on the footpath to get ahead, jump redlight, will ride with whole family, recently on raksha bandhan i saw a platina rider riding his bike with four people on it and a bag tied to the grab bar.

As far as criticizers are concerned they will always be more than admirers and that's the beauty of it admirers have a got an different kind of eye, it's like Vipassana, where you can see an object in a different way.

Hope you will soon start restoring your uncle's japanese rx-100, will watch you on "thumpers and 2strokes thread".

I know delhi has a lot of bikers but it is also true that delhi has more number of cars than all the metro put together. Here in bhubaneswar the scenario is changing, as three to four years ago when i was in college, there were a lot of bikes on road, but now there are just too much car, and that is causing traffic jams. Most of the people just do not like to ride bikes here and during dusherra from last 2-3 years car sales are increasing.

Ya the restoration will start soon and will also end quickly as i have asked my retailer friend to get all the items that i have given the list. Once he brings all that, the bike will be opened and only thing that will take long is the painting and nothing else. Once painting is over, bike will be finished in a week.

Yeah Delhi is choking with cars, this city is almost packed with cars, the scenario has gone so bad that a minor incident on road leads to kms of jam, delhi car drivers are mentally unstable starts fighting in no time, companies are bringing new models selling cars without even thinking what will happen in the future. This year rain has been very merciful for delhi as it hasn't rained like last year, last year in rainy season it took me 3 hrs to cover just 4kms.

So who is the mechanic you have chosen for this job, is he the same mechanic who works on your joy, and xtreme, or someone else, parts are not a problem for rx-100, if we leave one or two things then all of the parts are available, pls do share photos of the bike before restoration and after restoration step by step.
