  • Good news for Kwacker fans in Chennai

Kawasaki India is opening its 4th showroom after Delhi, Pune and Bangalore, here in Chennai on Oct 06. The new showroom is being opened near Ashok Nagar (localites might know Kasi Theatre). The showroom is bang opposite to the theatre.

I happened to visit the showroom after receiving a call from the showroom manager. He was kind enough to let me see the Green stable available there .

    Bikes listed below
    1. Z800
    2. Z1000
    3. ZX-10R
    4. ZZ1400R
    5. Ninja 1000

Enquired about the OTR of Z800...Its a whooping 9.16L in Chennai.

To add more surprise, Kawasaki is arranging a Test Ride in Irungattukotai race track in Sriperumbudur, Chennai (again, localites might be aware). The TD will cost you INR500. But you got to bring in your own gear

Also why that sad smiley at the end? Gear is of prime importance, and they're doing it right! You should be happy the folks are not only giving you the bike for a TD, but in a way instilling safe riding practices.

    Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
    The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

    THE END

I am not a SBK owner, though I have basic riding gear like - a leather jacket, a leather glove, boots and AGV helmet. The sad smiley was for the people who wanted to see and sit on the saddle but cant afford one at that instant...that's why.

And that's exactly what we want, admiration inspires, and in motorcycling safety scenario, it plays a vital role.

        Cheers!

The showroom opened today with a grandiose manner. India Kawasaki Motors MD Mr.Nishikawa and Chief Guest Mr. Nalli Kuppuswamy and other Bajaj personnel were present. A small speech was given by the IKM MD followed by photographs and sweet distribution.

the showroom manager confirmed that already 3 bookings have taken place - 2 Z800 and 1 Z1000.
