Basic meaning would be granting of an approval by an official authority.(eg - government)
In today's marketplace, for instance, products must often be homologated by some public agency to assure that they meet standards for such things as safety and environmental impact.
Eg - The gsxr750 is in the final process of homologation!!(true example actually)No Nonsense Biker.Comment
