Buddy, the procedure is different from each state to state. But its generally close to this:->


Find an owner who wants to sell his Activa. Purchase a Sale Letter for Rs. 8 or so. Its available at stationary & driving schools/ trainers. You will have to fill it and you have to attach the necessary proof, including address proof as mentioned on it.
Then submit all the documents at your district's RTO, alongwith the registration fees.

Payment is usually made on receipt of vehicle, alongwith its keys and original RC. But this puts the seller at a risk, in case the vehicle crashes before the name transfer. So, you can wait for the RC to come and then get the entire deal done.

Just be sure to avoid a fraud by the seller. It does happen. So, just be aware. Do not pay in full unless you got the new RC with your name on it. Let the seller keep the vehicle till then for his security.


Just get in touch with a RTO agent, and he'll get the work done for you much easily...
