• oil cooler in RTR 180/160

I am confused where to post this message so I request to mod. to move it at its appropriate place.
As all of us know that rtr 200 is coming with oil cooler and there is provision in rtr180 to install oil cooler (no sure about 160).so if any body wants to install oil cooler in his rtr had one option in past and that is get oil cooler of another bike installed ,now he have two option the oil cooler of another bike or or that or rtr200. simple,as it sounds but what about the bikes still under warranty ,certainly after this modification we are going to loose warranty. But if company agrees to install oil cooler by itself .Is it possible ,well I do not know at this movement .However ,I have sent an email giving suggestion about this modification. Now comes the purpose of writing this post and that is I would like to request all the fellow rider of Beast to bombard tvs with this kind of mail.
It they agree (we should try them to make agree) all is well other wise one can wait for warranty period to over,if he cares about warranty
please do not give too much attention to my style of writing, cause I am rider not writer.

@ Monk thanks for approvel Ramankr77 I want oil cooler to be fit at ASC not through jugad, cause I do want any one to loose warranty,I have gone through the thread given by you that thread coupled with launch of rtr 200 made me think about installation of oil cooler.according to the thread when installation of oil cooler of pulsar is almost plug and play then why not install oil cooler of rtr200 itself.
I again repeat my main point is warranty ,otherwise I would have install it by this time.

Oil cooler is not a spare part of Apache 180 and its not listed as a spare part in parts list. Authorized service centers only replace spare parts and adding an oil cooler is a retrofit and its not approved by TVS for 180. Authorized Service centers don't do engine modifications that are not approved by the manufacturer.

The pulsar 220 oil cooler and rtr 200 oil cooler look almost the same in terms of dimension and design. It could be different internally but at first look it seems to be the same.
Now coming to the oil hose, you cant use the rtr200 oil cooler hose in the 180/160 as the oil circuit is different and they are simply not compatible due to different design of union points. So if you want to fit an oil cooler on the 180/160 you will have to come up with some jugaad either by getting the hose custom made or bending the p220 hose accordingly. Either way you will loose your warranty, so its upto you to decide
