Thread Approved
xBhp has always been about any bike any rider. Irrespective of make, brand, model etc. Among my many interactions with xBhpians offline and the G2Gs and rides we have one thing has always struck me.
There are Pulsar clubs, ZMA Clubs, Bullet Clubs, 'younameitanditsthere' Club. You see these rides and everyone of them will be riding the same motorcycle. For xBhp rides you will see people from Scoots to Superbikes, and that for me is always a wonderful sight. Old and young, experienced and newbie, all are welcome. As long as the person has a good attitude and passion for biking.Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!
Give your details here if you want to help your fellow xBhpian stranded in your city

Re: The Praying Mantises in Forum
Yes that's what I liked about xbhp.. While I did miss the local g2g sadly but was happy to see that all bikers were in. The reason I hate specific clubs is there's a pack mentality, berating of others and above all stupid fanboyism and ego mastribution. Things which I hate. That's the sole reason I hate re and yezdi, and KTM groups. And then they'll have sub groups within... On my first Sunday ride on the gt I saw a few Enfielders and stopped to talk...I was greeted with "this group is for traditional bullets, we don't really welcome gt or any such". I laughed ,i was told find your own group to ride.. I said all I needed for a ride was a bike not a group or thier approvals, and went on my own business.Last edited by Kaushik Iyer; 02-26-2016, 09:13 AM.

Re: The Praying Mantises in Forum
True!
I'd say don't be a 'biker'. This is a term misused in today's world. At least in our nation. Anyone with a motorcycle clicks 2 pics and posts them on FB/Twitter/Instagram and uses the hash-tags #Biker, #tourer, #god etc.
Be a good road user. Consider the weakest links on the road and learn to ride as per their capacity. If you're the weakest link on the road, ride only at your capacity and not at others'.
I'm a part of almost every group, except the HOGs and Bullet gang. They haven't welcomed me, but then I ride with Suzuki group, Yamaha groups, Hero groups, Kawasaki groups, Honda groups. Heck, I regularly interact with folk as part of Hyderabad bikers too.
Yet I favour riding solo.
Clubs are good as long as they aren't biased. Be a part of the club which welcomes 'any' road user. Be a good motor-cyclist!Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

Re: The Praying Mantises in Forum
Motorcycles are tools to feel and experience the power and intensity of life, experience the thrill of being alive with the senses rogered by the character of the bike as you ride along, the riders mind carried forward by the soul of the bike manifested and felt by the rider in the form of pure emotion, demanding you to walk a line, pitting your skill and luck against failure ... a living hallow that connects you to the road, exposed to the elements allowing you to feel a deep peace and serenity, albeit temporal as most things in life; in contrast to the metal beings that encompass and isolate you.
You are performing your ballet while your bike sings its sonnet, a graceful performance those who show no appreciation for it or at times even endanger it, which make the artist more elated, triumphant.
There is a reason you never see a motorcycle outside a Psychiatrist's office ... they are either too happy needing to see one or too mad that one can help them.
While all these are common to all bikes .... what makes it special is the connection between a particular bike and the rider. Not that company, class, genre or even model ... it is that bike that is yours. A bigger bike doesn't mean it will make you feel better ... well maybe for a few days. But its like being in relation with a Super model ... everyone wants it ... but only because they are thinking of the 'tail' rather than what it entails.
There are real dangers out there on the street ... flying monkeys, metal beetles and f#$#@# fairies sprinkling angel dust and Cinderellas who are more worried at reaching the party to their bloody prince charming than our heads, limbs and general well-being.
As for the gear ... I might get major flak for this ... gear is 'supposed' to keep you safe. What 'will' keep you safe ... is not that Arai or Dianese, but rather your skills and your motorcycle. Wearing them doesn't make you invincible ... maybe a little scratch resistant and fancy. What is needed is more situational awareness ... you cannot for sure control it ... but maybe you can try and slightly turn it in your favor.
I wanted to write a lot ... but this is the only break I got .... maybe I'll edit laterWhen I'm on the road, I'm indestructible. No one can stop me... but they try.

Beautifully written. Please don't mind, but I would like to lift a few lines from the initial paragraphs.Originally posted by Naveen Vajja View PostI wanted to write a lot ... but this is the only break I got .... maybe I'll edit laterGot a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

I will be honest ... this is not completely original. The first two lines are Rahul's from PDArmy ... though i might have led on from there. So please go ahead and use whatever you want.Originally posted by Divya Sharan View PostBeautifully written. Please don't mind, but I would like to lift a few lines from the initial paragraphs.
And there are so many rant's that people here might not approve :-) especially about ATGATT.When I'm on the road, I'm indestructible. No one can stop me... but they try.
