    MORAL of the STORY

    Say no to Street Racing

I know gangs which comprises mostly of school kids and few college going guys who bet on street races every weekend. They also keep some stupid name to their gang. They don't even own a helmet. You cannot teach them . These street races also lead to street fights. I lost my friend in an completely modded rx 100 who crashed into an oncoming truck during a street race about an year back . Even after loss of precious life to these gangs they never stop street racing. Its a matter of prestige to them. They will never learn

Many are saying ''this article will teach these street racers a lesson or this will make them responsible for themselves and others''

The point is.. Anyone of these Street Racers gonna read it?

How many irresponsible street racers are member of xbhp?

How many of them wanna give an eye to article because this is 'just another piece of booze and advice which they had been hearing from every 2nd person known or unkown to them'?

How many street racers are goin to improve after reading this artice?

These people, mostly the bracket of 15-25 years, young death prone humans must have met such articles, lectures, accidents, breaking body parts, loosing sum frnd of them in bike accidents, etsectra etsectra, but how many of them improve from such lessons?

Even if they improve, every minute another reckless human joins the heard!

So we definetly need a merged effort from everyone and everything possible including us!! We need strict rules and very hard punishment for those people who race on busy streets and endanger the life of fellow commuters who want to return home just because someone is waiting for them or because they are responsible to their loved ones!
And at times if needed, then surely kick their butt with the hardest boots u own.
I will do this everytime its possible to be done..

I somehow got into a street race on one fine afternoon on the western exp. highway from andheri to bandra in mumbai ... the roads were mostly empty ... the other rider was on his apache FI and me on my 220 FI ..
the race was a pretty sporty spirited ..... we ripped close to 120 Kmph .. i know its insane speed in city ...but u know races r meant to get u speed ...
Both of us signalled each other warning eachother for every potential hazard on road ... indicating sides each time we were to take ...
guess the other guy is also a XBHP member ... the guy works in Mphasis
we exchanged thumb's up at the end of the race ... and yes he also liked my helmet he said ...
all in all it was a safe race ... winning did not matter to us .. but the frindly smiles exchanged at the end of it left a special memory of the race in our heart ...
safe riding guys ... race only with the sane riders ... If u ever wish to get into street races ..

@sunny thanks yaar an awesomely written writeup. Got some lessons at least.

@shanz: I must confess to the fact that I am doing this stuff from quite some time. And yes I am a member of xbhp too, and read this article with all respect it deserve. Now I don't wanna argue about the fact that what I am doing is right or that kind of. I do it because I love the speed over 100 and even though I tried quite sometime to resist my feeling of getting ahead, couldn't do it and raced at the end. It's actually my habit, may be that's the reason I am still doing it it's not that I tries to showoff or something like that. And I never thought of the problems that can happen to other because of me.

Even though I know what I am doing is wrong but I don't know how to control it. But after reading it all I can say is from today whenever i'll race will do it more sensibly & bring down my recklessness.

P.S.:- SORRY to all of them whom faced problem because of my driving.

Very well written there. I hope people realise the importance of not getting carried away by riders who provoke them to races. Always be the last one off the green light . Cheers!!!!!
I always have a pillion when i ride. Its my guardian angel.

Nice article there. I hate street racing. It creates a threat for other people on the road.

Q: How to Street Race – Survival and Winning

A: Say No to street racing.

Its not about winning rather about surviving…. Don’t bite more than you can chew….
Want to race on city roads? Please don’t. They are not meant for that……you & competitor are not the only two souls moving on the road… there are hundred others on the way. Please spare them from your adrenaline rush..
A Big moron is one who persuades others to race with him on city roads…….and the bigger moron his one who gets persuaded…
I can’t count how many bikers/Drivers crib about others senseless habits traffic in cities labeling them idiots… by racing in city road don’t be one of that idiot…
Move your rush and ego to a race track…. City road are only for commuting…. Don’t aggravate the situation more than it already is…….
Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handlebars to the saddle
