  • K-tec/exhuastec

A lot of you guys must remember the K-TEC stickers Bajaj uses on many of its motorcycles. TEC stands for Torque Expansion Chamber. The 'K", am assuming was Kawasaki back then. Now they have changed it to "EXHUASTEC". Since my Kawasaki Wind125 was restricting power of late on the axhaust side, I did some research and came across Bajaj's application for patent on this matter.

It is an extremely interesting technical document

(WO/2006/027797) AN IMPROVED EXHAUST SYSTEM OF A SINGLE CYLINDER FOUR STROKE SPARK IGNITION ENGINE

Thought you guys might want to read it.

good find... gotta read it yet..

but, those days Bajaj used to advertise as Kawasaki K-TEC Engine. And, the hoodibaba (Caliber 115) is a Kawasaki K-TEC engine... it does not have an exhaust resonator. I believe the KTEC & Exhaustec link is not true.

How the hell can Bajaj claim a patent on such such resonator stuff man???
