  • Bikers in their forties?

I am a 1972 born and have always wanted to own a motorcycle, especially a royal enfield.

I owned a Honda Unicorn when it first came to India and it was a lovely bike, mostly reserved for commuting. Sold it when my first in a series of cars came in after I married and had a family to drive around for vacations when a bike wouldn't do.

I own three cars today but call it a long lost love, the desire to own a royal enfield for general short trips has bitten me again.

Question : Any one here in my age bracket (or more) who owns a royal enfield and takes tours.

I am looking at either a Himalayan (new age hi-tech) bike or a custom royal enfield desert storm with some works done after market.

Listening and look forward to some interesting stories.

    Cheers!

    GBD Approved

There are a lot of bikers in their 40s on xBhp, both online and offline.

Born again bikers are those who are getting back to motorcycling, mostly in their 40s. After they have finally reached a level in their career where they can afford to sit back and relax a bit.

Then there are those 40 something bikers, who never stopped riding in the first place. Then they are fantastic people like Col. Kaleem, Dr. Nandkumar, who are riding well past retirement age. Then there is someone like Simon Gandolfi who was riding around the world in his mid-eighties

Its never too late to start riding
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Give your details here if you want to help your fellow xBhpian stranded in your city

All bikers in their 40s are busy riding and hence the lack of replies to your post from April. Go buy a bike and ride and post your travelogues on here. :thumb

Like it's said, learning has no age. Similarly, riding too doesn't. 42 is young but you'll feel a lot younger on your motorcycle Because once on the road, on your bike, you'll be disconnected from your past and present. So, ride hard!
