MODS please merge my post if a thread already exist.
Hi i have started this thread because from my yesterday's experience at the hero workshop has left a bitter taste so i would like everybody here to post whatever frauds or money making gimmicks are being performed by dealership to make money as it will help everyone in future
My experience was that the SA will not ask if you need an oil change or not and they will change it irrespectively of how much kilometers your bike has run or whichever service is that and they will charge you for that oil obviously, in my case it was my second free service and they changed the oil and i have posted my experience in the ownership thread.

      I've faced the following -

      * Bajaj Service - Addition of oil and fuel additives without prior permission and then charging 100-200 per additive

      * Honda Service - We took an AMC for my wife's Activa, it involved a free service every 2-3 months/1500-2000 or so km (don't remember exactly) and wash. The first two times we went the service technician insisted I get the oil changed but since I knew the vehicle had hardly run 1000-1500 km between the last oil change, it didn't require it and refused. Avoid taking AMC, We ended up spending more than if we just took the vehicle for a service when it actually required it. Also AMC vehicles get 2nd rate treatment and preference was given to paid/free service vehicles, we were told twice that there are too many vehicles already and the mechanic told us that AMC vehicles get only few slots per day

Here is my encounter with the SA and how I dealt him and the type of lame stories he was telling me and thinking I would believe him

I've had engine oil additives added. Some 3M stuff used. Some cheap Bajaj chain cleaner used. All this during my first service. What was discussed was oil change and the pretty basics. Now oil was the only thing I was supposed to get charged for. They ended up even replacing the oil filter. When they hit me with the bill I just refused to pay. They didn't have anything signed by me on papers and all these extras weren't SOP. I didn't pay and they couldn't even make
