The process went like this, I searched for a few different colors of paint online till I found the one I was looking for. A montana aquamarine blue. I chose montana spray paints because I have used them before to paint my computer chassis and the results were spectacular. I also ordered some clear coat from bosny, a set of 5 2000 grit sandpapers, and a paint buffer.
I got to remove the sticker with a utility knife and a hair drier (at the hottest setting). I realised however that no matter how hard I tried, there was no way I was going to cleanly remove the stickers, so I went online and ordered Goo Gone to remove the glue. The thing took a week to arrive and I was riding my new bike with sticker on one side and a white fairing on the other. When the product finally arrived I took to removing all the stickers and damn are they stuck really well, took me two days and a painful hand to get the job done. Then came the part of removing the fairing so I could paint them, I tried them myself but there were screws in parts where I couldn't reach without proper tool so I got it done at a local mechanic shop, took the fairing on a rickshaw to my home and painted them.
The painting required three coats of spray paint, with 15 minutes interval. after that sanding them with a 2000 grit sandpaper with a buffer, and repeating the process with the clear coat. Put on a GOT sticker (House Targaryen) and got it reattached at the shop.
Now the bike is two months old and has turned a lot of heads when I ride by. However, I feel the power of the bike is less to my liking, and so is the riding position, so I will be buying a Ducati supersport in the coming month. Really looking forward to mod that baby.
