My personal take - NO Drinking!!!
As mentioned by other members there are various other ways to keep yourself warm...

Tea in a thermos is a great idea...

PERSEVERE... failure is not an option!

Long Ride... any season... I carry two bottles with me. Lots of drinking is needed. I cannot ride for even two hours without gulping in at least half a bottle. Can live without food but not without the drink. Dunno how you all are against drinking. That is the minimum thing you gotta do to keep yourself alive.

Yes, water is the most important thing that's gotta go down your throat when on a ride.

Thanks guys! Nice to hear your point of view ... Shivanshu, instead of skill and experience + discipline (which i'd also say is required for riding solo) , the conclusion that i draw is that riding in groups requires patience, and trust me when you gain that patience, you'd prefer being alone

We have different perspectives my friend ...

I was told (and experienced) that carrying\consuming Glucose is not really a good idea...

It gives you cramps in your stomach! OldFox and all the docs here can you shed some light if thats correct!

The best bet is to carry nimbu paani so if you end up being stuck and not having money for filling air in your tyres you can make a small fortuen by selling that Nimbu Paani :P (jokus)
