  • Seriously wondering! Why is z1000 so costly in India ?

Hi guys, was curious about this since a long time

The ninja can be got around at 12L, zx6r at 12.5.

According to my knowledge, pls correct me if i am wrong, the faired version is ninja 1k.
Mostly faired versions are costly than their naked counterparts, is it imported or something ?

The z1000 was surely gonna be my next upgrade from z650, but the price difference between z900, ninja 1000 and z1000
is so huge that i am not able to comprehend why will i spend so much in Kawa again.

Its been 4 months i got my naked 650 and having a blast getting caught by police for two brothers exhaust

    Discussion approved.

Surely there are a lot of other factors that come in to play when deciding the pricing of a motorcycle. It is not like they just removed the fairing of Ninja 1000 and selling it as naked.

Ninja 1000 is assembled in India
      Z1000 is a CBU

Also I wouldn't really recommend the Z1000. Its the oldest of the lot

As far as I remember Kawasaki has pulled the plug on the Z1000 in many markets or is in the process of doing so, they certainly have discontinued it from USA. I remember reading some where that the objective of introducing the z900 was to kill two birds with one stone i.e. z800 and z1000
