Is Yellow fog lap allowed in India?
Hi, I own a Dominar 400. I have installed yellow colour fog lamps below the headlights. But recently I came across information that people are not allowed to use Auxillary lamps.
That is my query. Are yellow fog lamps allowed in India?Last edited by xBhp; 08-12-2019, 12:29 PM.Tags: None

Re: Is Yellow fog lap allowed in India?
Yes, Fog lamps are in fact a bit more yellowish than the headlamps. The yellow light penetrates better in the fog (something to do with the optical science)
As far as auxiliary lamps are concerned, yes they are legal as long as they are not attached above the factory fitted headlamps. In other words any type of auxiliary light should be fixed at a lesser height than the factory fitted headlamps.
But this being India, If a cop wants to challan you, he will find a way to challan you (I have heard guys getting a fine just because they were wearing armored jacket and gloves and cops were convinced that they were racing.. No evidence to prove it). So check out with your RTO and if possible get a print out of the particular clause that states that aftermarket auxiliary lights are not illegal, then present that document if a cop is hell bent on giving you a ticket.I would like to thank my legs for supporting me, my arms for being always by my side and my fingers; I could always count on them.
