Classic 350 swingarm upgrade by R.E.

Hey everyone!
I currently own a classic 350 2016 version with the round tubeular swingarm (pardon me for not knowing the correct term) and have discovered that the current 2019 classic have a different kind of swingarm (an oval one). Did this upgrade make any major difference in handling and swinging the bike on the road, and can I upgrade my swingarm to the newer version.
