  • THE EFFICIENT CITY DWELLER : Super Splendor

    8th Sept, 2019;

    This is a user review for the Hero Super Splendor. I bought the bike on July 9, 2k15 and from then onwards it proved to my best partner.

    As we all know that Honda motors are quiet reliable in the long run and this bike proves it with pride. I have used the bike mostly in city as well as occasional long halts. From the comfort sense of view and taking ergonomics of the bike in note, the long rides do feel a bit tiring but its fine for a biker. The longest continuous ride I did with the machine is approximately 300 kms at a constant speed of 70 kmph.

    Now coming to the engine, its just a mere 125cc producing around 9 bhp of power and 10.3 Nm of torque. The engine is good for daily commutes within the city but feels stressed over 90 kmph on highways. I use the bike for my college as well as it is also being used by my family members.

    The efficiency that this motor offers is decent enough and easy to live with. I am pretty happy of what it returns, that is approximately 55 kmpl. Also the motor is vibration free till 60 kmph. Ya I agree that it is bit under-powered than rest of its competition but that's ok looking at the reliability that is offered by the brand. The service network is vast and I almost get caught up by a hero service centre at every place I travel.

    So these were few stuffs about my bike. The Splendor has compared almost 4 years by now and I just faced one single issue of bolt breakage with the engine. I am very well satisfied. I have also maintained my bike decently and always use Speed Petrol along with a synthetic Shell engine oil and also a good filter paper.

    Basically that's all I thought of sharing. And its my first writing on xBhp so forgive me for any unknown mistakes....

        Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
        The girl said, 'NO!'

        And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

        THE END

          This may make you angry,
          But if I were you, I would have spray paint,
          The Body after sanding the stickers...
          Coz Splendour is an Synonym of poor family in India...
          I Have 2006 Super splendour,
          And Am Thinking about the same...
          Sorry if it makes you angry
