BMW reps are so rude
I just visited their counter in bike week in Pune which happened this weekend. The reps were not at all in mood of sharing any information and top of that they didn't like me coming any closer to bike. BMW how do you plan to sell me bike if ur not going to let me have personal experience and giving details about after sale services etc etc.Tags: None

Re: BMW reps are so rude
Maybe you didn't look rich enough to them, who would buy the bike (has happened with me), try their showroom if you are really interested. This seems to be a case of bad apples to me.Originally posted by xykon View PostI just visited their counter in bike week in Pune which happened this weekend. Re: BMW reps are so rude
The exact same thing happened to me with Triumph. These big name brands are like that. They hire people who seem to think working for the big name brands makes them a cut above the rest. They tend to act like they levitate above the rest of us. Forget them and move on. Buy a Honda and be happy.Originally posted by xykon View PostI just visited their counter in bike week in Pune which happened this weekend. Re: BMW reps are so rude
Attitude matters so much in India. It's not so much how well you are dressed or the brand names you are flashing, but how you walk into a room & start treating people. We Indians are very class conscious. If you show any signs of deference or a lack of confidence, many people will start asserting their superiority and treat you like crap. This goes double if they perceive themselves to be of 'high status' i.e. staff at expensive brands etc. But if you walk in like you own the place, those same people will immediately start kissing your ass.
Note, this doesn't mean arrogance, swaggering in and ordering people around. But confidence and feeling at home in your skin, and an immediate raised eyebrow at the smallest sign of poor service, makes all the difference in the world when dealing with poorly trained staff like this.
