Good Apps to track ride

    Good Apps to track ride

    Hello All,

    This is my first post.
    I do at least 1 long ride a month and was looking for apps to track ride, places visited, etc. I searched in play store and can find a few but they are not that useful. Rever, ESR, etc. Most of them are not suitable for India.

    For me the app should have at least these features -
    1) Automatic ride tracking or Manual input of point A and point B with options of adding stops in between.
    2) Things to do, places to see in the destination or on the way.
    3) Option to add photos, notes etc. E.g stay(ed) at this place. Avoid this place. Take this precaution etc.
    4) If possible, social platform where users have posted their experience which we can read and plan.

    Right now I just make notes in onenote. Collecting info from Google maps and trip advisor and such.

    Let me know if such an app exists or something close to it.

      Google map suffice your needs I hope. All u need is a gmail account. U can add photos and reviews on the places u visit. Latest update in the app provide info on near by attractions including restaurants, fuel pumps, hotels etc. If u keep GPS continuously on,then u can track ur previous travel history by going to the timeline option in the app.

        I will give it a try but doesn't Google maps show all my events in timeline. I was looking for an app dedicated only for driving and tracking stuff related to that. But if nothing else is available I might use Google maps only.

        Anything else that comes to mind, folks??

          If you are on android you can use "My Tracks" . Records the route, speed at various points you can add photos and view an animation of the route you took.
