I really don't have much info about fuel meters. But I feel it would much easier to manipulate an ECU. As in a FI system, such parameters are recorded, though not in our Indian Bikes. Still we can try experimenting with a ECU... how about that?
A small hitch - my P150 is a old tech carb fuelled bike with no FI!
So I think I will have to wait till I get a FI equipped bike like the P220 to build the Real Time Fuel Consumption Display System. Then, we can easily get the fuel flow data from the fuel injector ON and OFF cycle timings. Also, bike speed can be read off the hall sensors output. Maybe, someday...

      1). a GPS
2). an easily adjustable/removable touring visor(large size like the avenger ones)
3). a luggage carrier without compromising the bike's looks(dont know how its gonna happen, but innovation is what we need )
4). comfortable rider and pillion seats, which dont start biting your ass in just an hour..
5). tyres capable of holding a puncture for atleast some distance.. m not talking about tubeless ones...
      4th point is a must ..
it should be specially made for ladies / girls friendly..
i always received a comment if i took her for a ride more than 20kms

I'm puzzled about the reason ,y do Indian manufactures or even foreign manufactures in India are more hesitant about providing more features in their bikes.

Sadly, even I don't have a FI bike! But I will see once I get my new 220.

I would second that. Because, Indian manufacturers (read BAL) have been proving all the feature, which fits in our budget.

            I would for example take a Pulsar 220 -
Almost all the sensor you need for a bike like that, Oil Level, Oil Temperature, Choked Air Filter and Low Battery, Backlit handlebar switches, DC Lighting, Projector Headlamps, Digital Console, 2 Trip meters and a oil cooler as well.
If only I wish, to add a Range Meter and a Digi Clock!

Seriously all bikes (at least 150cc) shall have anti-theft, some chip integrated locking system. (that opens with particular key only)

I think the best one so far has been 'ejection system for rear seat'

My needs are more mundane though. A Real Time Suspension (RTS) which dynamically reads the conditions (load, road conditions, etc) and adjusts suspension

Oh just remembered, something to record info like front rear combination used in braking, the last top speed, RPM in each gear to get there. Basically info that can be used to improve our riding

                              hmmm
                              nice thread
so what i'd really like to see on my ride over a few years
1 rear view cam.....without mirrirs it really is a pain to turn around in your seat at insane speed craning to look outside the vizor...btw most indian bike's mirrors just show us our arms and bellies
2 factory fitted abs front/rear discs
3 a touch enabled display so that what info we want will be shown and the rest be minimsed so that we can have better meters in a smaller space
4 element proof charging slot. preferably a usb port which can also be used to access the bike's info
i remeber going to the tata showroom when a friend of mine was getting the indica vista serviced and the service mech came down with a laptop and connected the engine to it...and got all the info on running, top speed max rpm 0-60 time max kms ect
it will be useful to sort out minor problems
5 computerised seats with air pockets which adjust accordingly.....if they can do it for our soles, why not for our butts
Be what you are, not what you want others to perceive you to be.

There was this one thread with wishlist for your bike. I had written quite a few points there.
I will write only the things I really 'miss' in my bikes here:
                                TVS Fiero F2: Electric start.
                                Yamaha R15: 1. Tyre hugger
                                2. Ladies' footrest
                                3. Digital clock display
                                Quench my thirst with gasoline!
