  • Touring with an aftermarket exhaust

Hey guys, just wanted to know if anyone has toured on their bike with an aftermarket exhaust? I know many would be against it but I'm running a full system, ECU and an air filter and if I swap back to my stock exhaust, I would need to go and retune my bike.

Well, the biggest issue with exhaust is the sound, and I have been running a DB killer for the most part and my exhaust doesn't bother public or wake up the neighborhood unless it's a very narrow road or a tunnel but still not as loud as the open ones. My first option is swap back to stock and retune with the stock exhaust but been riding with my exhaust for a while without much issues from the law.

I would like to go and get a sound test done and check if it's kept below the permissible sound levels. Main reason for the exhaust is to let the zombies know I'm behind them or there is a vehicle approaching apart from the better low end. But I am considering getting a sound a test and maybe if possible a certificate and a pollution certificate as well and see how the bike is actually.
