  • Let’s Ride More Smartly.

Hola lovely people. Its been a while I have written down my riding experience. Couple of weeks back I got a call from xBhp mentioning about the JKtyres, Blaze Series smart tyres. Yeah you heard it right, Smart Tyres. Now I am suppose to go on a ride testing the brand new Blaze Series tyres by JK Tyres and try my hands on a crazy air infiltration monitoring device.

What is this Smart Tyres and How does it works?

SMART Tyre is an indigenous product from JK Tyre, which provides real time information about the health of the tyres through smart sensors. Just wrap the sensor around your tyre - Instal the Treel Care app - Scan the code present there on the backside of the product box and Hola you are done.
You can now easily monitor the real time health of your tyres. Apart from the tyre health you can use the TreelCare app as a stand alone app and can easily monitor up-to 10 vehicles simultaneously. I am using it now from 1 week and I love the way I get to know the point to point status of my tyres. Overinflated tyres or Under inflated tyres not a problem anymore.

Coming back to the tyres now. It’s been more than 3.5 years I have been using button tyres on my Duke 200. After a good 45000kms now it’s time to remove my button tyres and try these Blaze series from JK Tyres. I went to the JK Tyres godown and received both the tyres. Front: Blaze BF33 - 110/70 - 17 and Rear: Blaze RYDR BR 41 -140/70 - 17. Also the TREEL sensor product. I went through the TREEL product manual and was able to fix the sensor around my tyres very easily followed by the installation of the tyres. I did couple of kms before heading out for the ride and I am already in love with the better grip experience. After 3.5 years of riding on button tyres, I indeed felt a big difference. I felt more confident while releasing the throttle and same while applying brakes.

Attaching TreelCare app images below to give a better understanding.

Let’s ride now. It is almost mid of March now, summer is knocking on the door. I didn’t had much leaves left, so weekend was the best and only option left. The plan was simple. Ride towards the nearest jungle side and beat the heat riding under the shades of mother nature. I was riding with one of my friend and he sadly never have been towards Chikmangalur side. Chikmangalur is a very common gateway but we wanted to ride and explore some less ridden trails inside Chikmangalur.

    Day 1

We had a good sleep and early morning around 5:15a.m we started the ride. Before starting the ride I just checked my tyre pressure and temperature through TreelCare app and just like that I had a clear picture of my tyres health before starting the ride. We took Bangalore - Mangalore highway and started the ride. It was yet to sunrise and we took an early small break near the highway to capture some pictures of the bike and the sun rising from behind. Without wasting much time we were back on our bikes and headed towards Hassan. Just before Hassan we took a detour. It was a 3km detour leading towards an open helipad. Flew my drone for some time followed by couple of bike pictures and we left for Belur. On the way we also had some quick breakfast bites and by now most of the national highway was covered. The sun was rising and soon the amount of trees around the roads started increasing. The fresh smell of nature and the throttle in your arms, a pretty good combination to spend the weekend. In my TreelCare app I have mentioned my average speed to be 110 km/hr and if incase I am over speeding I will get a notification. Guess what I got multiple notifications for over speed once I checked the app. I was able to ride easily maintaining 115-120 km on my odometer. Sometimes even more. The tyres were performing really up to the mark building in confidence in me to ride with ease at higher speeds too. Tyres were definitely offering a better grip as I excepted. We were about to reach Chikmangalur and did a last minute reservation. The stay was around 3-4 km inside the jungle and we messed up with the route and was lost for good 45 mins. Although we didn’t mind it because it was fun riding on those small trails. Sooner we found the correct way and reached the place. So far we did around 340 kms in total. 60%-70% National/State highways and 30% Country side road and jungle trails. We decided to have lunch and take rest for some time. For sunset the plan was to ride to Bababudangiri but not take the usual route but take on inner jungle trail. Unfortunately we couldn’t chase the sunset properly because it was dark very soon but we had so much fun riding and exploring the trail. Day 1 was fun riding all day and ending with a camp fire.

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
    The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

    THE END
